2021 is almost here and we have news from the future – the top trends you’ll be seeing all summer long.
1 Ruffles and tiers
Think floaty, frilly, super feminine pieces that have wonderful shapes and textures. You can go for a colourful print or keep it simple in neutrals. Either way, this is a trend everyone can rock.
2 Neutrals
Speaking of which, these are going to be all the rage.Eggshell, cream, tan and camel made a huge comeback in 2020, and they’re here to stay.We recommended investing in matching accessories, so you can make a super neutral statement outfit. Also, think makeup: from lips to eyeshadows, neutral is one of the easiest trends to bring into your cosmetics kit.
3 All-over prints
You may have seen this over the past few months, as matching sets took over store windows. Now, it’s all about statement prints, from animal prints, to florals and geometric patterns. Anything goes, just make it matching.
4 Boho is back
This look is defined by flouncy blouses, cute feminine detailing and both neutral and small-print florals. It’s so easy to accessorise, and should still be on-trend in autumn, when we pull out our knee-high boots. Yay.
5 White boots
They are totally in. Team them with a cute ’60s inspired dress to look and feel absolutely fabulous.
6 The yellow bag
Yes, seriously, just yellow. This one is little more obscure, but we’ve been seeing them all over the runways and the streets of our fave fashion cities. While ‘yellow bags’ is a pretty precise theme, their shape, size and texture can be whatever your heart desires. From clutch to beach bag, as long as it’s yellow, it’s cool. Style it with some mustard toned neutrals for an extra on-trend look.
7 Shoulder pads
This is one trend we’re feeling conflicted about. They haven’t been popular since the last century, and we don’t know how we feel about them coming back. That being said, looking powerful is always on trend, and we have kinda been looking forward to the day shoulder pads were socially acceptable again. This time, it isn’t just blazers… even t-shirts are getting the padded treatment.
